Congratulations to the Green Glowing Glizzies 3.0, the MRMS team, on winning first place at the Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB) Regional Competition at Lake Ridge Middle School this past weekend and are headed to state!
MRMS has sent a team to regionals for the past 10 years, and this is the first time a team has won the competition. The team will represent Molalla River Middle School on Saturday, April 11 in Salem.
Adam Bair, Kyleigh Smith, Mona Smith, and Evelyn Doran have been a dedicated team for three years and have spent many hours at the public library reading and studying the books.
They would like to thank Mrs. Thomas and the MRMS Parent Action Committee for all their support. Mrs. Thomas gave them the opportunity to compete and the MRMS PAC purchased tee shirts, gift cards, and snacks!
