MRSD Standard of Practice As the water provider where schools have well water, the District is responsible for assuring regular testing of water quality. We do this at both Clarkes and Rural Dell on a schedule that matches that required by the EPA. Additionally, at Rural Dell Elementary a lead mitigation system was installed after the district noted higher than desired levels of lead in the water in 2012. That system is monitored weekly to assure those levels remain below the highest allowable lead level (20 parts per billion).
In the summer of 2016 testing took place at all our other schools. Our first review of data, once clarified, demonstrated appropriately clean water at all locations. You can find the individual building testing results below.
We will continue to collaborate with water quality authorities to assure our practices meet or exceed minimum standards for monitoring contaminant levels.
Test results for schools with public water supplies will be published in school newsletters, at the District Office, and on our website, assuring parents of water quality and our ongoing commitment to safety as a first priority.
